The Blessings of Many Generations

Neal took Jude and Celia to visit his grandmother today. My mother-in-law says Mom Mom always asks how Jude is doing. She had a stroke several years ago that left her with speech difficulties, so she asks for him by holding her hands around her eyes, signaling, "The one with the glasses." Neal took this picture during the visit, and it was so beautiful that I had to share it.

Jude will be six in a few weeks, and Mom Mom turns 97 in October (God willing).  What blessings they are to us.

 To celebrate the mishmash this family now is:

(Blessed are you, Eternal our God, Ruler of the universe, for giving us life, for sustaining us, and for enabling us to reach this season.)
