In God's time...

At the time, all discipline seems a cause not for joy but for pain,
yet later it brings the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11

Don't give up, because all happens in God's time, not ours.  Sometimes it seems like all the training we do is for nothing, because things don't work out no matter how hard (or how many times we) try.  Yet, eventually, when He deems it time, they do, and the joy is that much greater.

  1. Pretty cool photo to illustrate the Scripture! Not that I would ever cheer for the Red Sox. LOL But my son is a fan. ;-)

    1. My hubby is a longtime Sox fan. Me, I root for the Phillies. I'm reading a new book - Baseball as a Road to God by John Sexton - and the parallels between religious faith and faith in your home team are fascinating.

  4. I have a saying, "Don't give up before the breakthrough". We are often so quick to give up, but we just don't know when that breakthrough is coming. Thanks for sharing!
