The other day, after having read six books in as many days, Celia asked "Can you get me another book? I'm sorry...I'm just a bookworm."
She's got a fair amount of reading to do this summer. She has two assigned books for school, and plans for several others. She recently read the first two books from the Adventures of Lily Lapp series, and is stalking the UPS man for Book 3, A Big Year for Lily. She is planning to re-read Charlotte's Web by E.B. White and to work her way through the Ramona Quimby series (by Beverly Cleary). She already read Beezus and Ramona and wants to read more of that grouping.
Like her brothers, we are doing some lapbooking along with some of her books. (You can read about her brothers' book lists here.) The two main ones are her school-assigned books, and a little more in-depth learning for the Lily Lapp series.

The last cruise focused on summer reading for boys. This sailing is the young ladies' turn. Check out what the other girls are reading! We'll be looking for ideas -- at her current rate, I don't think these are going to be enough to keep Celia occupied all summer!

I like the idea of including lapbooks with reading selections. My crafty daughter would enjoy that!
