1. It's been a bittersweet school week. Monday was the final graduation for Luke's school, and Friday was the first graduation for Matthew and Celia's new school.
2. It seemed like Field Trip week as well. Jude went to his first Phillies game last Saturday, while Matthew and his class spent Thursday traipsing around Philadelphia's Old City. We had lunch at Reading Terminal Market, and got sandwiches from DiNic's. Yum!
3. I finally got my garden planted. I put in cucumbers, cantaloupe, bell peppers, globe and yellow cherry tomatoes, eggplant, and some herbs. The cherry tomatoes are already ripe (thanks to the farmer's nursery) so I've been eating them all week.
4. Matthew and Celia had their first music recital. Matthew has been taking drum lessons, and Celia studies violin. I'm very impressed at how much they've learned and am very proud. Luke is going to start studying an instrument next year; he is debating which one to learn.
5. A quick plug for my nephew/Godson, Alex. He is participating in Paddle for A Cause, to raise money for cancer research. From his fundraiser page:

"My name is Alex Gulea and I am twelve years old. When I was six years old, my grandfather died of leukemia. I am trying to raise $200 in this paddle for cancer research. I am hoping that my donations for future research will someday aid others in their struggle with this disease."
It's hard to believe Tatae has been gone so long! Way to go, Alex -- I know he'd be proud of your dedication. (And if you'd like to donate, click on the photo of Surfer Alex above!)
